day 1
Arrival at Porto Airport, reception with refreshments and preparation for the 1h45 trip to Bragança, starting point to ride in Trás-os-Montes, a place where we will explore, taste and live one of the most beautiful regions of the country.

day 2
Bike ride through the Natural Park of Montesinho, halfway we will have lunch in the village that gives its name to the Park, where we will be able to taste some of the dishes that are part of the traditional transmontana gastronomy. Afterwards, visit to the Castle and the historical area of Bragança.

On this day we will discover the old railway track up to the Azibo lake, which we will walk around and take a dip in at the end of the tour. After this adventure we will go back to recover energies in the local gastronomy. Then, it’s time to visit a winery to taste the wines from century-old vineyards.

In the middle of our journey we will cross the border, through the village of Rio de Onor, which has the peculiarity of being half Portuguese and half Spanish, an area of vast diversity both in fauna and flora, we will hug a centennial oak tree, and it won't be difficult to cross a deer. After this adventure through border lands, we will taste one of the region's ex libris dishes, mirandesa steak, and then visit a fumeiro.

Departure by bike to the village of Vinhais through old trails of the transhumance, with a visit to the Biological Park of Vinhais and all the trails that surround it. Lunch is reserved for one of the delicacies of the region, wild boar in a pot, ending the afternoon at the river beach of Fresulfe.

Pedal in the direction of the Serra da Nogueira, through trails of pine and walnut trees, to one of the highest points of the region with a breathtaking view. Lunch reserved in one of the most emblematic restaurants of the region, Solar Transmontano. We end the day with a walk along the riverside area of the city of Bragança with a visit to Casa da Seda .

It's time to return to Porto for the journey back home, with many stories and memories to share!

Although this tour takes place in the summer, it's best to come prepared with cycling and casual winter clothing, because the northeast region always has large thermal amplitudes . Road or gravel bikes for this tour are included, but as an extra option you can use an electric bike.
