Of course, Lisbon it’s the most wonderful city in the world for us, and we make a point of honor to also show it to you, but it’s in the countryside around that lies the beauty to ride with us.
As you can imagine, Lisbon has an international gastronomic offer with some exciting young chefs, but it also seduces your palate with small and typical restaurants. We love to ride and eat here, and we really would like to share that with you!

Arrival at Lisbon Airport and reception at our Grupeto Bike Shop Café, where you can have a taste of our home made pastries and enjoy a nice coffee with a beautiful river view. Then, it’s time to go to the hotel and rest.

It’s time to hop onto the saddle and start to explore Bucelas, a wine region around Lisbon with magnificent landscapes and challenging climbs. We’ll road ride for 60 km at a decent pace, interesting enough for you to deserve lunchtime in the vineyards.

Now that you are used to the Portuguese roads, it’s time for a challenge through the mystical roads of Sintra, with roads needling trough palaces and castles. This is also a wine region and we’ll have a taste for sure.

We get back to Sintra again because this region deserves a second time riding and climbing for serious. This time, we’ll go closer to the shore to feel the Atlantic breeze and hopefully some tail wind!

This is the milestone of this tour. The backdrop is simply amazing, the roads and climbing are very demanding, the food is great and, of course, the wine matches the quality of the overall experience. We’ll end our ride at a local vineyard for a taste and then fresh fish for lunch.

On our last ride, we’ll mix Sintra and Bucelas for a proper good-bye, we’ll empty our tanks and then refuel with a great lunch and a toast to everything life has to offer us: the one’s in love for bike riding, eating and drinking with quality!

Not quite a sports mode but interesting enough for you to challenge your limits. The rides will take place at an average pace of 25 km/h (more or less).
bike and gear
Although this tour takes place in the summer, it's best to come prepared with cycling and casual winter clothing, because the Sierra always has a few surprises in store. Road bikes for this tour are included, but as an extra option you can use an electric bike.
